All students should have equal, barrier-free access to course materials. The purpose of this training is to give examples of what modifications are needed in courses to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Universal Design Standards.

Upon completion of this training, you will be able to:

  • explain the Americans with Disabilities Act and your federal obligation to adhere to it,
  • describe Universal Design and its role in course design,
  • implement quick fixes to make your content accessible by meeting WCAG 2.0 standards, and
  • evaluate materials for accessibility.
